we had a long weekend. on saturday we got a late start to the beach and we had to be carried in our bag across the state park beach, through the naked beach, and then to the non-naked part where dogs are allowed. my sis and i loved the beach, but bex and kal were a little scared we'd get swallowed up by the big waves so i couldn't really run around free except for in the sand away from the water. mom says it will be even more fun when i'm bigger... i really can't even walk on my leash yet (even though etta can and we're the same age - she is twice my size). i dug lots of holes in the sand and met lots of people more than i played in the water. mom and dad both seemed to develop some weird paranoia that the sand was going to get in my one good eye and scratch it! whatever, they just don't realize what a tough little cupcake i am. unfortunately the camera ran out of batteries so we don't have any pics from the beach. we're going back again soon, though.
today was nice. kal and bex let me dig around in my litter box and make a mess of the house one last time before they traded litter in for wee wee pads. i'm glad though, cuz the litter was making my mom and my sister sneeze. it was fun while it lasted. pictures of me covered in it and the mess i made are coming soon. afterwards kal put me in the shower with bex and i got clean. i was mad because even though the shower makes me look like a cute alien, i got shivery and whiney afterwards despite the soft towel daddy wrapped me in. besides, i LIKE being dirty. jeez.

so after all that we went to get a new harness and leash for etta (it's really soft and a pretty brown color - unfortunately i'm stuck in my blue one 'til i grow big enough to fit the soft kind) then we went to the park, where etta and i met our uncles Adam and Andy. They're really cool and i think they really liked us. etta and i love the park. it's better than our backyard at our old house because it's got a lot more people. etta and i really, really like people. etta likes them so much that she gets sad when she walks down the street and someone she passes ignores her. she's the sensitive one. i let that stuff roll off. anyway, at the park, some creepy guy asked if i was for sale. bex said "NO," in a mean voice. then she picked me up to make sure i was safe. you gotta watch out for strangers when you live in brooklyn.
